I have always enjoyed working out and continuously educating myself with best practices in nutrition and overall health. After joining my first CrossFit class in November of 2013, I was hooked. The feeling of being strong, the welcoming and encouraging community, and being surrounded by others wanting to better themselves was inspiring and uplifting. I decided I wanted to continue my journey of becoming a better athlete as well as learning more about the CrossFit philosophy and help others along their health journey by becoming a coach in hopes to encourage others that they too can do hard things.
My favorite CrossFit movement is power cleans, more specifically, hang power cleans. My favorite workout is DT because not only does it have my favorite movement in it, but because it makes me feel strong as well as it taps into your cardiovascular strength as well.
Just show up. Every single movement is infinitely scalable and every athlete is on their own physical fitness journey with various goals and aspirations. No one is competing against another. You are there for you and your mental and physical health journey. :)
